Job Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Paralegal to join a highly successful legal team based in Blackburn. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist Property Litigation department, managing your own caseload of Housing Disrepair matters from inception to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of Housing Disrepair claims, both pre-litigated and litigated, independently.
• Work collaboratively with a specialist team dealing with a range of Property Litigation matters.
• Manage files effectively through to settlement or trial, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and timelines.
• Engage with clients, experts, and third parties professionally and efficiently.
• Contribute to the success and growth of the Housing Disrepair department.

Person Specification

• A minimum of 12 months’ experience handling Housing Disrepair files is essential.
• Applications also welcomed from candidates with a Property Litigation background.
• Experience or knowledge in niche areas such as Cavity Wall claims or Japanese Knotweed cases is highly desirable.
• Strong case management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
