Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on a wide range of immigration matters including visa applications, asylum claims, appeals, and human rights cases.
- Handle complex and sensitive cases such as family reunions, deportations, immigration detentions, and judicial reviews.
- Prepare and submit detailed legal documents and applications to relevant authorities.
- Represent clients at immigration tribunals, hearings, and court proceedings.
- Conduct legal research and stay informed of updates in UK immigration law and policy.
- Deliver exceptional client care, ensuring clients are fully informed throughout their case.
- Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders to secure successful case outcomes.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate in England and Wales.
- Significant experience in immigration law, particularly asylum and human rights work.
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Comprehensive and current knowledge of UK immigration rules and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and written communication skills.
- A high level of empathy, professionalism, and commitment to defending client rights.
