Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will research new market opportunities, engage prospective clients, deliver tailored proposals, and negotiate commercial agreements. The role involves close collaboration with recruitment, marketing, and operations teams to support the company’s strategic expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify new clients, sectors, and market opportunities
- Develop and implement effective business growth strategies
- Prepare and deliver polished sales presentations and proposals
- Negotiate and close new business deals aligned with company targets
- Manage key accounts and maintain strong client relationships
- Work in coordination with internal teams to ensure service excellence
- Track industry trends and competitor activities
- Keep accurate CRM records and provide regular pipeline and performance reports
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum RQF Level 6 qualification (UK bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
- 2–5 years’ experience in sales or business development (recruitment preferred)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Confident presenting to senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to win new business and meet targets
- Sound understanding of UK market trends and commercial dynamics
