Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Housing Disrepair Paralegal to join a highly successful legal team based in Blackburn. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist Property Litigation department, managing your own caseload of Housing Disrepair matters from inception to resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a caseload of Housing Disrepair claims, both pre-litigated and litigated, independently.
- Work collaboratively with a specialist team dealing with a range of Property Litigation matters.
- Manage files effectively through to settlement or trial, ensuring compliance with relevant procedures and timelines.
- Engage with clients, experts, and third parties professionally and efficiently.
- Contribute to the success and growth of the Housing Disrepair department.
Person Specification
- A minimum of 12 months' experience handling Housing Disrepair files is essential.
- Applications also welcomed from candidates with a Property Litigation background.
- Experience or knowledge in niche areas such as Cavity Wall claims or Japanese Knotweed cases is highly desirable.
- Strong case management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
